CREDEM-DKD

The CREDENCE Economic Model of DKD

CREDEM-DKD is a microsimulation DES model with 1st and 2nd order uncertainty of interventions in diabetic kidney disease.

The model has been constructed in Microsoft® Excel and require no plugins or external programs to use. It is highly flexible, and is designed to maximize user-friendliness.

It was developed using patient-level data from the CREDENCE clinical trial (which recruited patients with estimated glomerular filtration rate 30-90 mL/min/1.73 m2, urinary albumin:creatinine ratio >300-5,000 mg/g, and taking the maximum tolerated dose of a renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitor) to estimate the long-term health and economic consequences of DKD treatment interventions.

Risk prediction equations included in the model were fit using patient-level data for start of dialysis, doubling of serum creatinine, hospitalization for heart failure, nonfatal myocardial infarction, nonfatal stroke, and all-cause mortality.

Assessment of the Validation Status of Health-Economic decision models (AdViSHE) for decision makers and model users.

CREDEM-DKD can be licensed to skilled clients who want to conduct their own analyses or be performed by the IHE Team.
