IHE has conducted several studies involving regional and international comparisons assessing access to care.
For example, we have published a series of comparator reports in cancer care comparing the situation in European countries over time. The reports show differences in epidemiology, the cost of care, access to new medicines and barriers to the market for new products. By collecting and analysing this type of data, the reports aim to inform policy discussions at the national and European level.
In addition to these types of comparisons, IHE has also conducted studies comparing the use of screening programs, treatment guidelines and reimbursement systems across countries and regions.
