A new IHE report reveals several shortcomings in cancer care in Türkiye. Almost 5,000 additional cancer patients would survive their cancer every year if survival rates Türkiye were as high as in France in five major cancer types. The report takes a deep dive into the disease burden and economic burden of cancer as well as three areas of cancer control: governance, screening, diagnosis and treatment. The report also provides recommendations for future improvements of cancer care in Türkiye.
