IHE publishes today the second sub-report in a report series on cancer care and access to cancer drugs in Asia-Pacific.
This report describes health spending on cancer and its consequences for patients. It shows that most countries and locations miss the informal WHO target of public health spending of 5% of GDP. Low publicspending on cancer care results in poor health outcomes of patients and a dire #financial situation for many patients and their families. universalhealthcoverage and the social safety net need to be improved.
