IHE Report on patients’ access to new cancer treatments in the UK

Today, IHE releases a IHE report titled “Comparator report on patient access to cancer drugs in Europe – A UK perspective”. Major progress has been made in cancer care for the past 20 years but the report shows that the UK allocates less healthcare resources to cancer care, and generally has a slower uptake of new cancer drugs, than other Western European countries. The report, commissioned by the UK Pharmaceutical Industry Association, is presented today in London by oncologist Nils Wilking.
